It’s easier now than ever to locate products you
need from around the world. But just because you’ve
found a lower price for a product doesn’t mean
it’s less expensive once you’ve paid to import
it into your own country. In addition to the price
of a product, you must factor in transportation costs,
insurance charges, and all the duties, VAT and excise
taxes, and other fees that Customs may asses on the goods.
Our Online Landed Cost Tool helps you determine an accurate
estimate of the landed cost of your products by calculating
the various import duties, VAT and excise taxes, and
other government fees that will be added to your goods
before they arrive at their destination.
How It Works

Landed Cost Calculator - Step 1
First enter the country and product information for
your transaction including the country of import, country
of manufacture, country of export, product HS
Classification, product
price and method of transportation.

Landed Cost Calculator - Step 2
Next enter the product quantity and unit of measure
and any freight and insurance charges for your shipment.

Landed Cost Calculator - Step 3
Finally choose which currency you want to use to display
the final landed cost and the tax level you wish to use:
- "All Taxes" include all possible duty rates including
any applicable preferential agreement rates;
- "Minimum Taxes" displays the lowest landed cost scenario;
or
- "Default Taxes" displays only the landed cost results
calculated with the default duty rate.
In addition to providing the estimated landed cost of
a product from a single source, our Online Landed Cost
Tool allows you to display costs comparing up to eight
different country source combinations. For example,
you can easily compare the costs of a product sourced
domestically against the cost of importing that same
product from China or Mexico, so you can make the right
decision every time.
In addition to displaying the estimated landed cost,
the Online Tool will also flag products that might be
subject to anti-dumping or countervailing duties.
